Wilkerson Insurance Agency is an independent health insurance brokerage based in Farmers Branch, Texas. We are not an insurance company. Our team of licensed agents shops across multiple carriers - including Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Mutual of Omaha, Transamerica, and others - to help you compare coverage. We do not underwrite policies, and we do not make final coverage decisions; those decisions are made by the carrier.

3. Information We Collect
3.1 When You Request a Quote
For most quotes, we typically ask for:
- Your name, address, and date of birth
- Your height and weight
- Your county and zip code
When you submit the "Request a Quote" form on our website, this information is sent directly to our team by email.
3.2 Health Information
For Medicare Supplement and individual health quotes, we ask about your current prescription (Rx) information. We do not collect your broader medical history as part of quoting.
3.3 Payment Information
In some cases, we collect banking and routing numbers, and occasionally credit card information, to help set up your premium payment with the carrier you choose. For some carriers, you may enter this information directly with the carrier instead of providing it to us.
3.4 Social Security Number and Medicare Beneficiary Identifier (MBI)
We only collect your Social Security number or Medicare Beneficiary Identifier once you are actually submitting an application for coverage - never during the initial quoting process.
3.5 If You're Requesting Group Coverage for Your Business
If you're a business owner requesting a group health quote, we may also ask for basic information about your employees and their dependents - typically zip code, county, date of birth, gender, and tobacco use preference - so we can prepare an accurate group quote. If you provide us with information about someone else, please make sure you're authorized to share it with us.
4. Phone Consultations
We may record phone calls and discovery consultations with clients. If a call is recorded, you will be told at the start of the call.
5. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Prepare quotes by sharing relevant details with carriers likely to be a good fit for your situation
- Complete applications and enrollments
- Service your policy, including renewals and coverage changes

6. Text Message and Email Communications
We may send text messages or emails about quotes, renewal reminders, Medicare enrollment period reminders, newsletters, or promotions. To stop text messages, reply STOP to any message. To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link included in the email.
7. How We Share Your Information
To find you the right coverage, we share relevant information with a small number of carriers - usually two or three - that we believe are the best fit for your situation, not our entire carrier network.
We do not share your information with marketing companies, data vendors, or referral programs. Our listing with the Dave Ramsey ELP (Endorsed Local Provider) program is a referral relationship only - we do not share client information with that program.
For group coverage, relevant employee and dependent information is shared with the carrier for underwriting purposes.
8. How We Protect Your Information
We limit access to client records to authorized personnel, and our systems are password-protected.
9. If a Data Breach Occurs
If a breach involving your nonpublic personal information occurs, we will notify affected clients as required under Texas law, without unreasonable delay.
10. How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep client files for 10 years after a policy ends or you stop doing business with us, consistent with recordkeeping practices for licensed insurance agencies.
11. Minors and Dependents
We help enroll minor dependents on family or group health plans. However, we work only with a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a minor. A minor does not interact with our agency directly - all communication, decisions, and paperwork involving a minor are handled by their parent or guardian.
